Mission UX Design Conference
Mission UX was the first community-driven UX conference held in San Antonio.
Our city is full of talent, skill, and deep knowledge of UI/UX design. We wanted to highlight this within the community. This is our first of many conferences where we can learn from each other, inspire each other, and share our experiences.
Community Building, Event Planning, Web Design
One of the main objectives of the conference was to showcase the talented individuals who had already been working in the UI/UX field in San Antonio for years. We were able to welcome speakers who were truly representative of the diverse culture and industries of San Antonio.

Organic Community Growth
While there are plenty of excellent conferences out there, not of them are geared to serving the unique needs of the San Antonio community. Mainly, that we needed a venue to start a city-wide conversation between design professions who likely would have never crossed paths.
While we were not always able to get everything we wanted to get done in any single one of our planning sessions, I learned the importance of having a consistent base of volunteers so that during each meeting we got closer to our shared vision of hosting our very own community driven conference.
